Our Process

Design

An electronic system, like your Dream Home, must be built from the ground up. When you meet with a representative from Holcomb AVT, we will evaluate your needs and custom design a system specific to your project. With ease of use and reliability central to every system that we design, we incorporate the style and decor of your home to create a system geared towards Modern Living.

Prewire

For new construction or a major remodel, this phase includes the installation of the audio and video wiring in the walls of your home. With new construction, we perform this phase after the framing is complete, and before the drywall is installed. For a retrofit situation, our technicians are specially trained to run wire unobtrusively in your home

Trim

Trim refers to the installation of the speakers, the wall plates and all of the mounted hardware. Retrofit projects will usually combine both the pre-wire and trim-out phases concurrently. For remodel or a new construction, this phase usually takes place after the walls are painted.

Setup

Most system components will be installed into a professional rack enclosure. All of the wiring behind the equipment will be connected and neither be seen, nor be accessible, by the client. When your rack is delivered it will be retested and connected to the wiring in your home

Programming

This is how we turn a bunch of boxed audio and video equipment into your system. A reflection of your lifestyle, your tastes, your home. We program each piece, each component to work with every other component creating an extraordinarily simple and easy-to-use home system. Virtually everything you'll want becomes One Touch away.

Calibration

To get the most from your system, you'll want it to look the best, and sound the best, calibration is vital stage. Our attention to detail in system calibration is one of the reasons that our audio and video installations are so renowned. In the calibration phase, we make fine adjustments to sound quality and picture quality to best fit your media room. The result is engaging video and stunning audio that creates an unprecedented entertainment experience.

Training

When everything is installed and programmed, we schedule an orientation to make sure you understand how to fully use your system, at this time we deliver your custom home system manual. This document written in plain English details how every part of your system operates and is a great reference for seldom used functions or guests.
